A great tree for reducing air pollution

Silver Birch

Studies have shown that the tiny hairs on the leaves of silver birch trees, along with yew and elder, are extremely effective at capturing the solid and liquid particles that make up particulate matter, contributing to reduction rates of 79%, 71% and 70% respectively in experiments.
